Yes, I will admit that I have fallen off the low-carb wagon...
I'll write more about these "experiments" specifically in a future post, but needless to say, I have gotten away from the Paleo, Low Carb lifestyle that I was enjoying so much several months ago. As a result, I have learned a few things about myself:
Yes, the corn chips and french fries give me a temporary hit of pleasure, but when I consume these carbs, I immediately feel a decrease in energy and mood. Looking back, I really do feel best when I am very low-carb.
2. Refined Sugar is COMPLETELY Unnecessary
In the month of November, I decided to cut out all refined sugar. This proved to be the one success of the past few months. Once you set your mind to commit to this, it is very easy to accomplish, even at the holidays.
3. Accountability is a Good Thing
In the weeks since I took a break from the blog, I discovered that I was less likely to make good food choices if I didn't have anyone to answer to. It is true that I have a good group of family and friends who always keep me accountable, but I have lost so much weight and had so many successes over the past few years that many of them will assume that I am always making good choices.
Many of my blog readers are more interested in my ongoing numbers as I approach my goal, so I think that returning to blogging is going to provide some much needed accountability.
Yes, the blog is coming back! Starting this Sunday, I will start posting regularly again about my journey. Over these past few months, I have made some decisions about how I plan to proceed for the long haul and I think these changes will be both beneficial to me and interesting to you.
Thanks for checking in after my long Hiatus. Check back here on Sunday for my next update!
