After a LOOOOONG hiatus, I am finally back with my weekly updates.
Over the past few months, I have tried several different "experiments" as it goes with my diet. Unfortunately, these experiments have been a huge failure.
Yes, I will admit that I have fallen off the low-carb wagon...
I'll write more about these "experiments" specifically in a future post, but needless to say, I have gotten away from the Paleo, Low Carb lifestyle that I was enjoying so much several months ago. As a result, I have learned a few things about myself:
Ever since I went on vacation a few weeks ago, I have decided not to post to the blog. It's not that I have fallen off the wagon or gained a bunch of weight. I just have been thinking more big picture with my whole weight loss journey and I'm not sure how my blog can reflect this.
So....I need your help! Take 30 seconds and answer the two survey questions below.
I have disabled the results until I have enough people respond. I will let you know the results and I will give an update soon about my blog. Thanks for stopping by today. I'll be back soon!
Time for my weekly update! After a few weeks of consistent weight loss, I was interested to see what would happen this week on the scale.
Note: There will be an announcement at the end about this week's blog schedule.
Unfortunately, the weight loss streak did NOT continue, but it was a really good run! Here are the numbers...
This past summer, I experienced something that every "dieter" fears...the dreaded weight loss PLATEAU. No matter what I did, including a pretty strict ketogenic diet, the scale simply wouldn't budge.
For many who are desperately trying to lose weight, a weight loss plateau is devastating. When you're seemingly doing everything right and the weight still won't come off, it's hard to justify sticking with it. Luckily for me, this recent plateau came after I had already lost 100lbs, so I would often channel the positive mindset of "maintaining" even though I was still over 20 lbs from my goal. Because of this, I was able to stick with it and see the other side. But, I still wondered... what really changed? How did the scale finally start moving again? Here are my thoughts...
Another exciting weigh-in this week! As you'll see in this post, the start of the school year has been good for my weight loss and bad for my blogging. Thanks for checking in again this week!
I realise that I have not been blogging as much lately since my summer break has ended. It's unfortunate, since I've actually had a lot to say that I haven't had time to sit down and write. My plans are to schedule time to write at least one post per week (In addition to the weekly update). I'll say more about this at the end of the post....let's look at this week's numbers!
Time again for my weekly update. Thanks for checking in again this week as I post my weight, body fat, and waist measurements. I really appreciate your help in keeping me accountable to my health goals!
Last week, I finally got down below the 240 mark, taking me out of the "Obese" BMI category. This week, my goal was to stay below that line and not bounce back. How did I do? Check below to see the numbers...
Thanks for checking in here every Sunday, where I post my Weight, Body Fat %, and Waist Measurements. I really appreciate all of the feedback that I receive from my readers. Please feel free to leave a comment or question below. As always, you can email me by clicking the Contact Me tab above.
This week, I'm very excited to reveal a new milestone in my weight loss. This is one that I've been eyeing for a VERY long time! Check below to see the numbers...
First, let me say that I have watched EVERY SEASON of this show from Season 2 to 15. For 14 straight seasons, I have followed this show from beginning to end. I have visited the official website, looked up former contestants online, checked out the Biggest Loser books from the library, and even competed in my local gym's Biggest Loser competitions. It's safe to say that I was a huge fan of the show. But, today, I'm here to say that I am done with this show!
Before I get into why I'm quitting this show, I should explain why I did watch it for so long. Looking back, I think there was one reason I kept watching The Biggest Loser: To remind myself that, for someone like me, it really is possible to lose the weight. I needed motivation and hope, and the Biggest Loser was there to tell me that IT IS POSSIBLE! In the end, I found that this was a false hope. In fact, I found that nearly every aspect of this show was the exact OPPOSITE of what finally helped me lose weight and become healthy. Here are 4 reasons I'm done with this show...
Time for this week's update! This post is slightly delayed due to a very important matter...the start of the NFL season. :-) By the way, my team won....go Falcons!
Not a lot of commentary this week. I have been working on a big blog post this week which I will talk a little about at the end of this post. Check below for more details. Ok, here are this week's numbers...
