This week's weight: 265.2
The 2 weeks weight loss: gained 6.8 lbs :-(
Total Weight Loss: 84.8
Goal weight: 220 lbs. (45.2 to go!)
It's certainly disappointing to have a setback like this, but I've always said that these weekly weigh-ins, good or bad, have a purpose. Sometimes it's a pat on the back, but this time.... it's more like a kick in the pants. Yes, I have made many bad choices over the past few weeks, and it's time to fess up and make some changes. I will confess that a few unhealthy items have made their way into my diet recently:
1. Candy- I've always been allowed some low-sugar dark chocolate, but recently this has turned into the occasional M&M or Reese's peanut butter cup. This got out of hand when I realized I was having one or both of these every day. That's definitely not on my stated plan.
2. French Fries- Potatoes have been deemed "OK" for my diet, but I've recently gone overboard with them and I've started having French fries way too much.
3. Lack of exercise- I've never claimed of have this aspect if my health plan perfected, but lately I have been neglecting exercise all together.
When I look back on the last few weeks, I'm not surprised that I've gained a few pounds. If anything, this just proves that my original plan was effective and that getting back on my plan will lead to future weight loss. It's definitely not time to panic. It is time to make some changes. Check back here tomorrow, when I will detail my Summer Health Plan and Goals. I'm really excited about what is coming over the next few months!
